About The Red Party
The Story
The Red Party is an event to raise dollars to support people living with HIV in Anderson, Greenville, Oconee and Pickens Counties in South Carolina. Ticket prices are set so that you can have a great, affordable evening, and AID Upstate can maximize your donation to benefit the greatest number of clients. We consider your ticket purchase as a donation—not an admission charge. Your donation is tax-deductible.
Donations
We consider your ticket purchase as a donation—not an admission charge. 90% of your donation will help provide services such as food, housing, utilities, medicines and medical care to over 1,000 clients. A portion will also be used to provide FREE screenings for HIV, HepC and other STDs. Your donation is tax-deductible. It’s a great way for you to show your support toward individuals and families affected by HIV in your community.
AID Upstate
AID Upstate was incorporated in 1987. The organization began several years earlier as a committee and task force composed of individuals working in public health in response to a then unnamed illness that was primarily affecting young gay men and rapidly progressing to death. This grass-roots response to the AIDS pandemic developed into a consortium of public and private health organizations, service organizations, interested individuals and persons living with HIV.
Treatment & Services
AID Upstate offers FREE Rapid HIV testing with results provided on the same day. We are committed to providing tools for improving sexual health. Our experienced, non-judgmental, and knowledgeable HIV Prevention staff will help select realistic options for reducing risk for HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs). We also offer additional STI screenings based on personal risks and needs.
